She has a Facebook message regarding the Olympics:
As the opening ceremony of the Vancouver Olympic Games begins tonight, I’d like to join my fellow Alaskans in applauding the hard work and dedication of the seven Olympians from the Last Frontier: Callan Chythlook-Sifsof (the first Alaska Native Olympian) competing in Snowboard Cross; Jeremy Teela and Jay Hakkinen competing in the Biathlon; Kikkan Randall, James Southam, and Holly Brooks competing in Nordic Skiing; and the Mat-Su Valley’s very own Kerry Weiland competing on the U.S. Women’s Hockey Team.
I’ve had the honor of meeting some of these fine athletes with outstanding work ethic. These great Olympians are the pride of Alaska and will bring honor to Team USA!
-As you all know, Palin will be in Daytona Beach this weekend as a VIP guest at the Daytona 500 and the featured speaker for the Daytona Beach Chamber of Commerce Monday evening. She'll also hold a book signing in Daytona Beach Monday morning.
I'll confess that I do not know the slightest thing about NASCAR, so I'll be tuning into the NBA All-Star game festivities (except during the time the Governor makes a cameo during the NASCAR broadcasts). For what it's worth, Chris Myers from "Inside Nascar" allegedly said Patrick "could very well be 'the Sarah Palin of NASCAR,'" whatever that means. Question for those knowledgeable about NASCAR, are there two races this weekend?
-Rick Perry is winning in every poll. The only question is whether he'll win the 50% needed to avoid a run-off.
-Anything else going on this weekend?
Update: We know who signed the budgets that allowed for the state of Alaska to claim a $2.2 billion budget bulge.
Update #2: Glenn Beck tweets Palin with a birthday message.
Update #3: Anyone watching the Olympics see this?
